Fees and Booking Information

- The price for a morning or afternoon tour of any length
up to a maximum of 3 hours is £365.70, which includes VAT under the Tour Operator Margin Scheme. This is a
complex tax system but the bottom line is that you won’t be able to claim back the VAT. If your accounts
folk need more information on the Tour Operator Margin Scheme please seek out HMRC Reference Notice 709/5
(November 2009) which is available online.
- The price for The Full Day Option is £465.70
inclusive of VAT under the Tour Operator Margin Scheme
- The tour fee covers you for any number of participants
from a minimum of one to a maximum of fifty seven, regardless of age and this number will include any teachers,
staff, helpers etc.
- To go ahead and make a booking please call us on
0845 812 5000 or send an e-mail to schools@cityandvillagetours.com. You need to tell us the following information:

- Your chosen date or dates
- One, Two, Three hours or the all day
option?
- Remember morning tours finish at Stratford
Station no later than by 12-30pm and afternoon tours start after
2-00pm.
- Please tell us if you booking a coach or
arriving by public transport.
- The Key Stage/age of your students.
- Your chosen commentary focus theme.
- We will book you in as a confirmed and safe date. No
deposit is required.
- Along with written confirmation of your tour we will
send you a pre-payment invoice for £365.70 (or £465.70 for the full day option) which must be paid 14 days
before your tour. We can accept cheque, BACS or card payment but the payment must be received in this office no
later than 14 days before your trip.
- There is no cancellation charge or penalty if you
cancel before the 14 day payment deadline but if you do not submit payment by this time we will cancel your
booking. Refunds will not be made once payment is received.
- Once payment has been received we will confirm exact
meeting point arrangements with you and your coach company if you are booking a coach. Please remember that our
guide will require a reserved front seat or crew seat and a working microphone. If you are using a coach but
there is no working microphone the guide will not give a commentary on the coach.
- Once payment is received we will confirm exact meeting
point arrangements with you if you are arriving by public transport.
- Once payment has been received we will invite you to
submit an e-mail brief for the Tour Guide. In this brief you can tell us what your expectations are and what
outcomes you are aiming for.
- We hold a full Tour Operators
Liability insurance. In compliance with LEA requirements this includes £5 million public liability
insurance.
